Dr. Ann Khazzandra Uy Miranda was born and raised in Davao and Cebu, Philippines. She immigrated to the Bay Area in her teenage years and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from California State University, East Bay (Hayward) before attending dental school at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Miranda’s philosophy is to provide a warm, inviting, fun, and educational experience for you and your family, always delivering exceptional care with a personal touch. She is passionate about preventive dentistry and believes in fostering trust and comfort by creating a friendly, welcoming environment for her patients.
Her dedication to giving back extends beyond her practice—she has participated in humanitarian missions abroad, volunteering her dental expertise on mission trips to Guatemala, the Fiji Islands, the Philippines, and Kenya.
One of the aspects she loves most about dentistry is the opportunity to educate parents, patients, and expectant mothers on maintaining a lifetime of healthy smiles. She believes that empowering families with knowledge leads to strong oral health habits and beautiful, confident smiles.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Miranda enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it’s snowboarding, scuba diving, hiking, or simply relaxing at the beach. She also loves traveling, dancing, volunteering, and cherishing quality time with her family and friends. As a busy mother of three teenage boys, she fully understands the joys and challenges of parenting and loves watching her children grow, especially when they’re engaged in sports.
At home, Dr. Miranda and her husband, Bernard Miranda enjoy family time together. They strive to create a fun, active, and supportive environment for their kids. She also shares her home with her beloved dog, Milo, who brings even more joy to their lives.
As a dentist, Dr. Miranda treats every child as if they were her own. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve the confident smiles they deserve because she believes a healthy, beautiful smile can truly impact a person’s self-esteem and happiness.

Adriana – Treatment Coordinator
Your Friendly and Knowledgeable Dental Team Member With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, Adriana is dedicated to providing every patient with warmth, friendliness, and respect from the moment they walk through our doors. She is here to assist you with scheduling appointments, answering insurance questions, and ensuring a smooth visit. In addition to her front office expertise, Adriana is a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF), allowing her to perform advanced and specialized dental procedures. Whether she’s assisting in the treatment room or guiding you through the administrative process, Adriana’s goal is to make your experience seamless and comfortable. Outside of the office, Adriana enjoys hiking, watching sports, and spending time with her husband and two children. She looks forward to welcoming you to our practice and ensuring you receive the best care possible!
Jerry – Treatment Coordinator

Jerry is an experienced treatment coordinator with over eight years of dental assisting expertise. He has a deep passion for orthodontic assisting and takes pride in helping patients achieve confident, beautiful smiles. His warm and welcoming personality ensures that every visit to Awesome Smiles Dental Care is as stress-free and comfortable as possible.
Jerry is known for his hardworking and patient-centered approach, always going the extra mile to make sure appointments run smoothly and efficiently. Whether it’s answering questions, easing concerns, or guiding patients through their treatment plans, he is committed to delivering exceptional care with a friendly smile.
Outside of the office, Jerry enjoys staying active at the gym, unwinding by playing the Nintendo Switch, and capturing life’s moments through photography.
